About the name
“The Song of Purple Summer” is the closing song from the Broadway musical Spring Awakening. A “purple summer” represents positive change and happy times at the end of a long, often difficult road – a changing of seasons, perhaps. New beginnings. Events of all types are inherently accompanied by some type of happy change, which is what we think is worth celebrating.
